This BTO 'Build to Order' model MacBook Pro "Core i7" 3.1 13" Early 2015 (Retina Display) is powered by a 214 nm Broadwell 3.1GHz Intel "Core i7" processor (5557U) uses a dual core processor along with a 4MB level 3 cache, 8GB of (non-upgradeable) onboard DDR3-1866 (PC3-14900) SDRAM, 128 GB, 256 GB or 512GB Solid State "SSD" drive, a (shared memory) Intel HD Iris 6100 graphics processor.

This 3.48 lb (1.58 kg) model is housed in an extra lean aluminum case, featuring a 227 ppi 2560x1600 13" "retina" high-res LED widescreen display. It also has a backlit keyboard, a "Force Touch" trackpad along with a claimed 10-12 hour battery. Similar to the Air models, Apple has phased out any internal optical drive.

Most sadly, these "Retina" models are virtually sealed and not upgradeable in any way.Ports and connectivity come via 3-stream AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 Thunderbolt ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 audio in/out port plus 1 SDXC card slot.
